The best way to stop those cold drafts and keep your feet and family warm is by sealing up those rim joists. Spray foam is one of the best insulation options as it can fill the tiniest crevices including nail holes and gaps around wires.
Spray foam does require an experienced installer, but the end result is totally worth it and in most cases the work can be done quite quickly.
