Cold feet? Where is that draft coming from?

To find out where that draft is coming from head downstairs. Your basement can actually be a huge source of heat loss and is a great place to start. The biggest reason is the rim joists, which is where the wall and ceiling meet. It’s there that cold air can enter from outside, causing the base of your walls to be cold and will cause drafts in your home.
The best way to stop those cold drafts and keep your feet and family warm is by sealing up those rim joists. Spray foam is one of the best insulation options as it can fill the tiniest crevices including nail holes and gaps around wires.
Spray foam does require an experienced installer, but the end result is totally worth it and in most cases the work can be done quite quickly.
